Description From Owner:
- 5 mi SE of Charlottetown in Lot 49. Named for Alexandra Caroline Marie Charlotte Louisa Julia who married Albert Edward, later Edward VII, 1863. Noted in JHA 1870. P.O. 1884-1915.
- Alexandra Bay is in Queens C. off Hillsborough Bay, SE of Charlottetown. The Mi'kmaq called it Ogosikcheech, 'little place where goods are landed.'
- And the French called it 'anse de Matelot,' Sailor's Cove. By 1846 it was on a map as Alexandra Bay, taking its name from the adjacent community of Alexandra.
