Description From Owner:
- 6 mi NW of Murray River in Lots 60, 61 and 63. Selected at a public meeting February 14, 1868 to replace Sconser and County Line. P.O. 1869-1930.
- In 1873 the name changed to Caledonia, the historic name for Scotland. This was an appropriate choice for what could be called the most 'Scottish' province in Canada.
- By 1798 Scots comprised one half of the Island's population and today they remain the largest ethnic group on the Island.
