3192 GARFIELD RD |
Prince Edward Island Tourism Region : Points East Coastal Drive
Description From Owner:
- 10 mi SW of Montague in Lots 58 and 60. The school was built c1870 on one of the highest points in PEI, and thus the significance of the name is rather elusive.
- Although it is at the head of Valleyfield River, that watercourse was more commonly known as Browns Creck in the 1800s. Since the first settlement was Irish, they may have meant 'bally', Irish for town'.
