Prince Edward Island Tourism Region : Points East Coastal Drive
Description From Owner:
- Named for St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland.
- 2 mi NE of Mount Stewart in Lots 37 and 38. Site of St. Andrew's College which was opened on St. Andrew's Day, November 30, 1831. P.O. c1871-1913.
- The college was founded to help fill the need for more local clergy, largely due to the efforts of Rt. Rev. Angus B. MacEachern (1759-1835), Roman Catholic Bishop of Charlottetown.
