- 2 mi NE of Tyne Valley in Lot 12. Named by William Ellis and Thomas Chanter who came from Bideford, Devonshire, England in 1818. P.O. 1912-1927. At first known as New Bideford.
- Bideford Parsonage Museum at 784 Bideford Road, Route 166 recalls the ship building era, parsons and their contributions to the community and the residency of author Lucy Maud Montgomery. Open June 1-Sept. 30.
