8 mi N of Charlottetown in Lot 33. Derived from Harrington Bay, the name given by Samuel Holland 1765 for Covehead Bay and Brackley Bay.
The bay was named for William Stanhope (1719-1779) Viscount Petersham, 2nd Earl of Harrington. School district 1855. P.O. 1888-1918.
