Prince Edward Island Tourism Region : Green Gables Shore
Description From Owner:
- 6 mi NW of Charlottetown in Lot 32. Possibly named for a place on South Uist, Scotland, where the celebrated Flora Macdonald may have been born, and possibly suggested by numerous mills in the community.
- On Plan 1830-1840. P.O. Milton Station 1878-1969, with the school district known as Lower Milton, both being shown in Meacham 1880.
- From 1894-1912 the post office was Trilby, after George Du Maurier's novel published in 1894.
- Meacham also shows Milton Creek for a presently unnamed tributary of North River that rises in North Milton.
