Description From Owner:
- The place is named for the summer home of Alexander MacDonald, vice-president of Standard Oil Company and an associate of John D. Rockefeller.
- In 1895 MacDonald, from Cincinnati, OH, built his summer mansion and named it Dalvay-By-The-Sea for his ancestral home in Scotland.
- In 1937 it became part of the park and operates as a hotel during the summer season. Dalvey Lake and Dalvey Pond are nearby.
