- It is not used locally, and does not appear on topographic maps or in the Census.
- County seat until 1832 when the court house was moved to St. Eleanors. Princetown Royalty was planned by Samuel Holland 1765 as one of the 70 territorial divisions of PEI.
- Today the point is not even marked on a map.
- The Mi'kmaq called the point Gomgotamoegatig, 'little sand bar turned' (towards Ram Island)
