- 3 mi NE of Summerside in Lot 19. Named for a public house owned by a Mr. Baker c1810 halfway between Malpeque and Bedeque Bays.
- The government also had a rest house established here for travellers according to Douglas 1925. P.O. 1827-1917.
- John Townsend, the first postmaster, is said to have opened a public house called Travellers Rest in 1826. Formerly known as Townsend's Corner.
